The Greatest American Hero Theme Song

OK, I’m a big dork. I’ve warned you all about this.

I heard this song on the radio the other day, and it brought a smile to my face. It me brought me back to my childhood days of the 1980s.

The song is “The Theme from the Greatest American Hero” by Joey Scarbury.

God, I feel old sometimes.

The show, for all of you all that aren’t Generation Xers like me, is about a teacher who is asked to be a superhero by using a special alien suit with powers he can barely understand or control. He lost the instruction manual.

I don’t know what it is about this song or this show, but I can relate to it. Do any of us really know what the hell we’re doing with the power within each of us? Not really, we’re just making it up as we go.

By the way, if you’re a fan of Seinfeld, you might enjoy this one as well.
